The Major Impact of Earthquake,April 2015

Photographs taken before and after the Nepal earthquakes reveal the shocking extent of the damage caused to Kathmandu's historic buildings. The devastating quakes struck the country on April 25 and May 12 killing at least 8,600 people and damaging 756,000 homes and buildings, including more than 600 temples, statues and museums. Pictures taken in the capital in 2008 and again today show the destruction wreaked in some of the world's most important historic sites.
